Drupa 2024
May 28 - June 7, 2024
Back Again After 8 Years
It was fantastic to reconnect with our clients, agents, partners, and industry counterparts after eight years. There was much to see at Drupa so we want to thank you for visiting our booth. If you missed us, please reach out—we'd love to meet with you remotely or schedule a visit to your facility.
Conversations with our clients confirmed the industry's significant challenges, particularly labor shortages. One production manager shared that he spends more time managing turnover and staffing issues than any other task, often relying on temp agencies to fill gaps at the packing station. He looked forward to increased stability in the finishing line with IMPACK's automated and semi-automated solutions.
Other packaging producers explained that short runs on specialty box types have become their norm. They were interested in exploring our Ergosa Semi-Automatic Packing Solution, designed to meet this reality. Many visitors were pleasantly surprised that the Ergosa changeover time is only 3-7 minutes between box types, compared to the 45-minute changeover they are accustomed to with their current non-IMPACK solutions.
We also met a significant number of production managers processing auto-bottom folding carton boxes, for which the MFA Batch Inverter is a game-changer. The Virtuo Automatic Packer, Evario Automatic Stacker, and Prefio Pre-Feeder garnered great interest from clients primarily processing corrugated packaging.
We hope you were able to experience some of the special features of the booth.
Modular Semi-Automatic Universal Packing Solution
Just prior to Drupa we announced design upgrades to the Ergosa Universal packing solution making it more flexible and interchangeable than ever before. Scale 3D models allowed visitors to see just how easy it was to configure a tailored solution for their product mix and demonstrated how the system can evolve with their production. The 3D model was not just for looks, but was intended to be touched so that clients could understand Ergosa's functionality.
